FAQ

Is it possible to get a job before I arrive in Australia?

The ability to get a job before arriving in Australia depends on at least three things: the type of work you do, your visa status and the labour market at the time you are looking for work. If you already have Australian permanent residency status and possess sought after qualifications, skills and experience, it can be possible to secure a position before you arrive in Australia. However, it is more likely that you'll secure a position after you arrive since an employer will want to meet you in person before making a job offer.

If I am currently still living overseas, are you able to begin assisting me with my Australian resume?

Yes. We usually begin working with people before they arrive in Australia so that by the time they arrive they are completely ready to begin looking for a job. Some people even secure jobs before they arrive so it's important to begin preparing your Australian resume as soon as you begin planning your arrival.

How can you help me if I am in another country?

We work with many of our clients over the internet using email, Skype and instant messaging.

Do I need to include details of my qualifications having been assessed in Australia in my resume?

It's a good idea to include this information as it gives the employer peace of mind that your qualifications and/or experience is recognised as equal to Australian standards.

Is it usual to include family details in my Australian resume?

It is not usual to include family details such as husband/wife's name, children's names or ages in an Australian resume. This is considered to be personal, private information that is not expected to be shared when applying for a position.

Should I include details about my religion in my Australian resume?

Unless you are applying for a role where your religious membership is a deciding factor, it is not advisable to include this information in your Australian resume.
